9th July 2024 a 250 tonne capacity crane ship from Hapo International Barges B.V. arrived at Heysham Port. Pilot vessel Turnstone came out to meet her and deliver the Heysham port pilot to guide her in. Unfortunately our glorious summer weather prevented us from having a good look at her.

Manxman approaching Douglas Harbour from Heysham on Friday 28th June 2024, once in the harbour the crew gave a water hose salute from the funnel and sounded the ships horn in tribute to Paul Turton as his family watched from Douglas head. Paul was a chef on the ship until he retired recently and unfortunately passed away last week after a short illness.

A large pack of scooter enthusiasts arrived from Liverpool onboard the Steam Packet Company ferry Manannan on Friday June 28th for the biennial Isle of Man Scooter Rally based in Douglas. The Rally featured a ride out around the Isle of Man which included part of the famous TT course.

great to see people out on two wheels, be it cycling, scooters or motorbikes. IMHO our roads, traffic & congestion would be so much better if there were many more of 'em, and the government encouraged it instead of pushing the false EV narrative, and for those motorist that still want or need a car & complain about 'em, they should think that more bikes leaves more space for them and be happy instead of holding biased views.

@@PilotekzyWT the typhoon doesn’t have canards. They are foreplanes because the don’t move individually. For example you can’t control roll with the foreplanes but you can with canards because canards move individually and separate from eachother
